There are Governing bodies for almost anything from Sports to Hobbies, Education to Religion and even Companies, Each Governing body offers different things to there dedicated subject. In Paintball The Governing Body is known as UKPSF – UK Paintball Sports Federation. The UKPSF is a voluntary body and exists to promote the sport of paintball, co-operate with government bodies, local authorities and try to make the game of paintball safe and fun to play.

The UKPSF are the people that keep paintball alive, have got it to where it is today. Paintball is banned in some countries, but these are the guys that fight for us when things go bad. The UKPSF also offers great insurance to players. Membership is open to any player, site or shop involved in the sport of Paintball.

Player membership now includes:

£5 million Civil Liability cover*

Personal Accident ; Death and Capital Benefits £50,000

Temporary Total Disablement £100.00 per week (14 days deferment period)

Cover is for players playing at a UKPSF sanctioned event*.

Paintball sites have to complete a questionnaire before being accepted as a member and are given a code of practice to help with the running of their paintball sites. If a member is reported by the public then an investigation will be undertaken and in certain circumstances membership has been removed from the site. Site membership does not constitute approval of the site as there is NO site inspection as a criteria for membership. The UKPSF in conjunction with several member sites and paintball shops are offering a FREE game of paintball when you purchase a paintball marker. In my eyes if you play paintball you should be a member, for only £15 a year you get great insurance incase you get injured, which is so easy in paintball. You will also help keep paintball alive, safe and fun to play. UKPSF was set up way back in the 1990s so there shouldn’t be any site in the uk that are not affiliated with them. If they are not you need to be asking them why not?
